The Old Barn is a barn conversion at the edge of Cloughton. It's on the main Scarborough to Whitby road, so you hear a bit of traffic. The garden is big and looks out over fields. You get rabbits and sometimes deer.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well-finished and everything works. The owners have done it up nicely.
Inside, there's a wood burner in the living room. The sofas are decent. There's a step up from the living room to the dining area, then into the kitchen. The kitchen has what you need.
Outside, there's a hot tub on the patio and a barbecue. The garden is enclosed. You can park two cars on the gravel drive.
Cloughton itself is small. There are two pubs about 250 yards away. A short walk along the old railway line, the Cinder Track, takes you to Hayburn Wyke. It's a woodland walk down to a waterfall and a rocky cove. There's an old pub there too.
The Cleveland Way coastal path is close by. You can walk south to Ravenscar, or north towards Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby. Whitby is about seven miles by road. Scarborough is the other way.
You're on the edge of the North York Moors. Dalby Forest is about a twenty minute drive inland, good for cycling and walking.
Facilities: It has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's no games room, that's wrong in the list. Sorry, no pets.
