The Bluebell is one of 16 apartments in a block called Scalby View. It was built in 2022. It's set back off the main Scarborough to Whitby road, so you don't get the traffic noise.
It's a ground floor flat. Sleeps two. One bedroom with a double bed, one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's new and well-finished. Everything's open plan: kitchen, dining area, and living space. French doors open out to your own patio, which is enclosed. There's a designated parking space right outside.
The village of Scalby is about a 10-minute walk. There are a couple of pubs and a tea room. For the coast, Scarborough's North Bay is two miles away. You can drive north to Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby, or south to Filey, in under half an hour.
For walking, the Cleveland Way is right there. The Cinder Track is an old railway line you can follow for miles along the coast. If you like birds, the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs is about 30 minutes by car. You'll see puffins in season. The North York Moors National Park starts just inland. For a forest day, Dalby Forest is about a 25-minute drive and has good cycle trails.
In Scarborough, the Alpamare waterpark and the Open Air Theatre are a five-minute drive. The theatre program runs through summer.
The flat has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a Smart TV. Bedding and towels are included. A travel cot and highchair are here if you need them, but you bring your own cot linen. No pets.
