Aysgarth Lodge is in Seamer. It's a barn conversion we did. It's about four miles from Scarborough. Five-star rating, which means it's pretty new and everything works. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles, and two bathrooms. One's downstairs, which is handy.
The garden is enclosed. That's good if you're bringing a dog, which you can, one's allowed. There's a hot tub out there. The main living area is open plan. There's a wood burner. It gets warm quickly.
The village has what you need. There's a small supermarket and a post office about 250 yards away. A couple of pubs within 200 yards, one does traditional food, the other is more of a bistro. A fish and chip shop too. There's a garden centre about a mile away with a cafe.
For the coast, Scarborough's closest. North and South Bay. Filey is about ten minutes south. Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay are further, maybe 40 minutes by car. The North York Moors National Park is on your doorstep. Dalby Forest is great for walking or mountain biking, that's about a 25-minute drive.
If you're planning trips, these sites are useful: National Trust Yorkshire and for coastal walks, the Cleveland Way National Trail.
Facilities: it has a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair. The entrance and the ground floor are wheelchair accessible.
