The place is handy for the North Bay. It’s about a half-mile walk to the beach. The Scarborough Sealife Centre is down there. The promenade from North Bay to South Bay is flat and good for a walk. Both beaches are sandy.
There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about 200 yards away. The Alpamare waterpark is just around the corner, with its pools and slides. Peasholm Park is nearby too, with the lake and boats.
Scarborough has the Stephen Joseph Theatre and the outdoor theatre. The cricket festival is held every August at North Marine Road, which is a short walk away. There's a bus stop 200 yards from the house if you need it.
