Scarborough Wave is on Valley Road, which is between the town and the castle. It's a tall terraced house, just off the main road down to the sea. It sleeps eight in four bedrooms.
The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable, clean, and recently decorated. The stairs are normal house stairs, not steep like some cottages.
There's no garden. At the back there's a garage you can use, and a parking space right in front of it. Parking is a real plus here.
A small shop is a few doors down for basics. The town centre, the train station, pubs, and restaurants are about a five to ten minute walk.
Scarborough has two big sandy bays. North Bay and South Bay. You can walk from one to the other along the promenade. The castle is on the headland between them. The Scarborough Castle site is worth a look if you like history.
Other things nearby: Peasholm Park, the Alpamare waterpark, and theatres. The North York Moors National Park starts just outside town. You can drive to Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, or Filey in under half an hour.
Pets are welcome, up to four dogs. A lot of the local cafes and pubs allow dogs, and there are sections of the beaches where they can go.
In the house you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
