The Pavillion
The Pavillion is in Killerby, near Cayton Bay. It's a detached house in the grounds of Killerby Hall, which is a big old Victorian place. You get good views of the hall and the fields from the main living room.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That's quite handy with a group. It's a 5 Star place, so it's been done up to a high standard. It's comfortable.
The garden is shared with the main hall, but there's a decked area under an oak canopy with some furniture that's just for the cottage.
Cayton Bay beach is about ten minutes away by car. It's good for surfing. Scarborough is about fifteen minutes. It's got everything you'd expect: a harbour, beaches, amusements. Filey is a smaller seaside town, also close.
If you want to explore further, Robin Hood's Bay is just over an hour's drive. Whitby is a bit further, maybe an hour and a half. Both are worth the trip. York and Harrogate are inland, about an hour away.
For walking, the North York Moors are on the doorstep. The North York Moors National Park site has information. The RSPB site at Bempton Cliffs is nearby if you like seabirds.
Facilities: it's got the things you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, parking on site. All bedding and towels are included. There's a cot. No pets, I'm afraid.
