Upper Floors At The Lawns
Upper Floors At The Lawns is in a back street in Filey. It's the top two floors of a tall Edwardian house. It's quiet here, but you're only a few minutes' walk from everything.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs inside are the original house stairs. They're fine, but they're quite steep and turn a corner.
You can bring one dog. There's parking for one car right outside, and you can usually find free spaces on the street.
The beach is about three minutes walk down the hill. It's a proper long, sandy beach. The town centre, with shops, pubs, and restaurants, is about the same distance in the other direction. Everything you need is within a five or ten minute stroll.
For a longer walk, the Cleveland Way starts at the north end of the bay. The Brigg is good for rock pools. To the south, the cliffs at Bempton are covered in seabirds in the spring and summer.
If you drive, Scarborough is about fifteen minutes south. Bridlington is twenty minutes south. Whitby is about forty minutes north up the coast. The North York Moors are half an hour's drive inland. York is just under an hour away.
In the house you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and a patio area. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. It's decorated for Christmas if you book over that period.
