Deja Blue is our flat in Filey. It's on the first floor, above one of the shops on the main street. It's very quiet up there, you look right out on the church opposite. The living room window gives you a bit of a sea view over the rooftops.
It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-kept. The space is the main thing, it feels a lot bigger than you'd think from the street.
You're right in the middle of everything. The shops, a bank, the post office, a few restaurants and pubs are all about a minute's walk away. The beach is a five-minute stroll down the hill. When the tide's out, the sand seems to go on for miles.
The Cleveland Way coastal path finishes here in Filey. You can pick it up and walk south along the cliffs. Flamborough Head is along there, the RSPB have a sanctuary. You can see puffins there in season.
Scarborough is a short drive north if you want a bigger town. Inland, you've got the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Wolds, or you can drive into York for the day.
Facilities: There's a dishwasher, TV, WiFi, and all the bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
