Vaughan Cottage is in Gristhorpe. It's a semi-detached holiday cottage, one of a small group. You get your own front and back garden, and there's a shared lawn out the front for everyone.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, which means it's clean and has what you need, but it's not luxurious. It's open plan downstairs.
The village pub is about a mile away. The nearest shop is in Filey, about three miles.
Filey is the main reason to be here. It's a proper old-fashioned seaside town. The beach is sandy and goes on for miles. There's a rocky headland called Filey Brigg. You can walk along the cliffs. The town itself has cafes and restaurants.
For days out, Scarborough is a short drive south. Whitby is to the north, about 40 minutes away. That's the fishing port with the abbey. The North York Moors are right behind you for walking. The North York Moors National Park website is good for planning routes.
There's a games room and a children's play area on site, shared with the other cottages.
Facilities in the cottage: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, a TV, and a shower. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. No pets, sorry.
