The Bay is a holiday park in Primrose Valley, near Filey. This is Sandy Bay Beach House, it's a detached lodge on that park. It's not right in the middle of things, which is nice.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own ensuite bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean, modern, and everything works. The main living area is open plan.
You get a private parking space and an outdoor seating area at the lodge. The park itself has a lot going on. There's an indoor swimming pool, a gym, and tennis courts. In the summer they run activities, things like archery or mini discos for kids. There's a pub on site that does food, and a cafe bistro.
The best part is the beach access. You can walk straight down to it from the park. It's a long, sandy beach that goes all the way to Filey. It's flat and good for walking, kids playing, or dogs running. The beach is about a 10 minute walk.
Filey is the nearest town, about a mile and a half away. It's a proper old-school seaside place. It's got a big supermarket, shops, and places to eat. You'll see donkeys on the beach and seafood stalls. It's quieter than Scarborough or Bridlington. Both of those are about a 15-20 minute drive if you want something busier. They've got things like the SeaLife Centre, leisure centres, and theatres.
If you like nature, the RSPB Bempton Cliffs reserve is close. You can see thousands of seabirds, including puffins in season. There's a boat from Bridlington that goes out for a closer look.
For facilities at the house: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a woodburning stove for colder nights. We can provide a travel cot and highchair. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. The park is part of the Yorkshire region, managed by the local authority.
