The Old Chapel is in Speeton, which is a tiny hamlet. It's a converted chapel, so it's a single, tall building with original windows and wood panelling. It's on its own with fields at the back. The garden is a small, enclosed patio area.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both upstairs, and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and comfortable. There are a couple of steps at the front entrance, but once you're in, everything is on one level until you go upstairs.
It's very quiet here. The nearest proper shop is in Filey, about four miles away. The local pub, the Fox and Hounds, is in Reighton, just over a mile down the road.
The main thing is the location. You're about a mile from the coast path. You can walk down to Speeton Cliffs or over to Flamborough Head. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline here. The RSPB Bempton Cliffs sanctuary is three miles away. You can see the seabirds from the cliffs there.
Filey is a traditional seaside town. Scarborough and Bridlington are about 20 minutes in the car. York is just under an hour's drive if you want a day out in the city.
Facilities wise: it has parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's a cot and highchair if needed.
