Jackdaw House
Jackdaw House is in Bridlington Old Town. It's a mid-terrace house. It's about a ten minute walk to South Shore beach, or five minutes in the car.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. Has a 4 Star rating. One bedroom has a king bed that can be split into twins if you need it. The stairs are standard for a house this age, which is to say they're a bit steeper than modern ones.
You've got a living room at the front, a kitchen diner, and then a conservatory out the back. The conservatory gets the sun in the afternoon. There's a small enclosed courtyard garden out there too, with a patio. It's handy if you've got a dog.
Speaking of which, we take one well-behaved pet. There's also parking on site, which is useful in the Old Town.
The house is right in the middle of the Old Town. There are a few pubs within a couple of minutes' walk, and some cafes and independent shops. It's the area they used for filming the Dad's Army movie.
Bridlington has two main beaches. The harbour and the Spa theatre are a short walk away. For a day out, Flamborough Head is about ten minutes drive north. The cliffs and the RSPB site at Bempton are up there. RSPB Bempton Cliffs is good if you like seabirds.
Inland, the Yorkshire Wolds are right there for walking or cycling. Yorkshire Wolds has route information. Further afield, you can get to Scarborough or Filey in under half an hour.
Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, wifi, washing machine. There's a TV. The kitchen has what you'd need. It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance, and there's an electric bed in the main bedroom.
