This is Sunshine Retreat. It's a new, detached lodge in Sewerby, up near Bridlington and Flamborough.
It's on a golf course, so it's quiet with a lot of trees around. You'll see the course from the veranda. The decking is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog or just want to sit outside without worrying.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms: a king-size with its own shower room, and a twin. There's a main bathroom too, with a bath. The living area is all open plan, with a kitchen, dining table, and sofas. French doors open onto the deck. It has a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable.
You're allowed one well-behaved pet. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
The on-site clubhouse has a restaurant and a bar with good views. Sewerby Hall is basically next door. It has gardens, a small zoo, a cafe, and you can pick up the cliff path to walk to Flamborough or Bridlington from there.
Bridlington seafront is about two miles away. Filey is a short drive up the coast. For a proper coastal walk, the cliffs at Bempton are fantastic for seeing seabirds. The RSPB site has all the details.
If you want a day out, Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere House are both within half an hour. The Yorkshire Wolds are right there for walking. Hull and York are both under an hour's drive.
