The Rocket
The Rocket is in Flamborough. It used to be a train station but the line was changed and it never opened. Now it's flats. It's on the first floor.
It sleeps four, but it's just the one bedroom. It's a kingsize bed. There are two bathrooms, which is unusual. One is an en-suite shower room off the bedroom. The other has a bath and a separate walk-in shower. So everyone gets their own shower.
Because it's the old station, some rooms are a step down from the hallway. The floors are original wood. The kitchen is separate from the living area. It's compact but it has everything you need.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and well looked after.
Flamborough itself is good. It's about twenty-five minutes walk to the headland from the door. You get the cliffs and the views over to Bempton. The RSPB site at Bempton is a short drive if you like seabirds.
Bridlington is about three miles away for a proper beach and shops. Scarborough is further, maybe half an hour by car. Filey is closer. For a day out, you can drive to the North York Moors or to Whitby, which is about an hour.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one. No pets, sorry. There's a local pub and golf is nearby.
