Kittiwake House is a converted barn in Flamborough. It sleeps eight, has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well equipped. You're part of a small group of converted barns, but the house itself is yours.
It's about a ten minute walk to the village centre. There's a shop and a couple of pubs there. The beach is about the same distance, maybe 700 yards. It's a good sandy one.
The house is spacious. It's got the original stone walls and beamed ceilings. The stairs are quite steep, typical for a barn conversion. There's parking right outside.
For a walk, the cliffs are excellent. The path starts near the house and goes along the headland. The RSPB Bempton Cliffs reserve is a short drive up the coast if you like seabirds.
Bridlington is three miles south. It's a traditional seaside town with a long beach and a leisure centre. Scarborough is about 15 miles north. It's got the castle, two bays, and the SEA LIFE centre.
Further inland, you've got the North York Moors. The market town of Pickering is about 40 minutes by car. That's where the North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam trains run. Sewerby Hall is a ten minute drive from the house.
Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, washing machine, TV. There's a cot if you need it. You can bring up to three dogs.
