Beacon Cottage
This is Beacon Cottage, in Flamborough. It's a mid-terraced house, an old coastguard's place. You can see the sea and the lighthouse from here.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not huge. The stairs are normal.
Downstairs is one open room with a wood burner, sofa, dining table and the kitchen at the back. The kitchen looks out over the golf course to the sea. There's a separate toilet under the stairs.
Upstairs, one twin bedroom looks out to sea. The double bedroom faces the lighthouse. The bathroom has a bath and a separate shower. The shower is a bit unusual, you step down into it. It has a stable door.
Outside, there's an enclosed patio area with seating. It's a good spot. The garden goes up to a raised patio at the far end with more chairs.
You're about five minutes' walk from Selwicks Bay beach. The Flamborough Head lighthouse and the old chalk tower are both very close. The village centre is a short walk the other way.
Bridlington is about a ten-minute drive. Scarborough is about half an hour. The North York Moors are within easy reach for a day out. The Yorkshire Wolds are inland from here.
It has parking on site. WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
