Beacon Cottage is in Flamborough, right near the coast. It's a terraced house, in the middle of a row. It used to be a coastguard's place.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The open plan living room is downstairs with a wood burner. The kitchen is at the back. You get a view from there over the golf course to the sea.
The bathroom is upstairs. It's got a bath and a separate shower. The shower is a bit unusual: you step down into it, and it has a stable door on it.
Out the back is an enclosed patio garden with some seating. At the far end there's a raised bit with more seating. You can see the sea from there.
You're very close to the cliffs and the lighthouses. Selwicks Bay beach is about a three minute walk. The village has a couple of shops and a few pubs. For bigger shops, Bridlington is about a ten minute drive. Scarborough is about half an hour.
The cliff top walks are right there. If you're here in late spring, you might see the puffins. It's a good spot for fishing too. The North York Moors National Park is about a 30 minute drive inland.
Facilities wise: there's parking, WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
