Beech Cottage

Beech Cottage is one of the old gatehouses for Sewerby Hall. It's detached. You get a private garden and parking right outside.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's well looked after. Because it's a period building, some rooms have low ceilings and the doors are a bit narrower than modern ones. Just something to be aware of.

The main thing is you're right on the Sewerby Hall estate. You can walk straight into the grounds from the cottage. The hall itself is interesting, done up like it was in 1910, and the gardens are good for a stroll. There's a zoo there, which is basically some penguins and lemurs, and there's a cafe and a playground if you've got kids.

The beach is a short walk down the hill. You can also get the Land Train along the cliffs into Bridlington if you don't fancy the walk back up. Bridlington's your standard seaside town. Harbour, shops, sand.

Local shop is about a quarter of a mile. There's a pub 200 yards away and a restaurant a bit further on.

For days out, Flamborough Head and the lighthouse is a ten minute drive. The RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs is about fifteen minutes away if you like birdwatching. The Yorkshire Wolds are inland for driving through.

Inside, it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
