Nell’s Cottage is in Bridlington old town. It’s a terrace house. Built in 1696, so the walls are thick and the floors aren’t level. That’s just how it is.
It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating. We’ve tried to make it comfortable, with a mix of old and new furniture. There’s a woodburning stove for cooler evenings.
The stairs are steep and a bit narrow. We just mention it so you know.
Outside, there’s an enclosed patio area at the back. It gets the sun in the evening. Good for a BBQ.
The location is handy. A pub is about 50 yards away, a shop is 100 yards. The beach and harbour are about a mile and a half. Bridlington has a proper seaside feel with a sandy beach and the harbour.
For a day out, Sewerby Hall is along the clifftop. You can get a land train there from the seafront. We provide a free family pass for guests. Further out, you’ve got places like Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere. National Trust Yorkshire has information on other properties. Flamborough Head and the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs are about a 15 minute drive. Good for walks and seeing seabirds.
Facilities: there’s a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for one car on site. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
