West End Farm Lodge. It's a cottage on our farm in Thornholme, which is a small village.
It sleeps six, has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, so it's a decent size for a family or a group. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The cottage is wheelchair friendly at the entrance. It's on one level once you're inside. There's a patio garden that's enclosed, which is handy if you've got a dog. We actually allow two dogs.
We're a working arable farm and we keep some horses. They're nearby if you're interested, just let us know and we can introduce you.
The village itself is quiet. There's a shop and a pub about a mile and a half away. Bridlington is five miles from here. That's where the beaches are. It's a classic seaside town with a long promenade, arcades, and fish and chips. The fishing fleet there lands lobster and crabs daily.
If you like walking, there are miles of footpaths around here. For birdwatching, you're very close to the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs. Flamborough Head is also nearby. Both are about a 15-minute drive.
You can get to the North York Moors National Park or the city of York in under an hour if you fancy a day out.
Facilities wise: there's a woodburning stove, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. WiFi too.
