The Sheep Shed is in Kilham village. It's a converted stone building, one of two cottages here. The main house is in front, this is behind it.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean, warm and works well for a week away. Everything is on the ground floor, which is handy.
You walk straight into the main living area. It's open plan, so the kitchen, dining and sitting area are all in one room. The French doors let in a lot of light. They open out to your own enclosed gravel garden. It's a simple space with a couple of chairs. The view over the fields is nice, especially in the morning.
The kitchen has what you need: oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge. There's a proper dining table. The bedrooms are off the main room. They're both doubles, done in quiet colours. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it.
Kilham is quiet. There's a village pub a few minutes walk away. For a proper shop, you'd drive to Bridlington or Driffield. Bridlington is about ten miles. It's a classic seaside town with a long beach and promenade.
You're in the Yorkshire Wolds, so it's good walking and cycling country right from the door. For a day out, Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere House are both close. The coast at Flamborough Head is about twenty minutes by car. If you want to go further, York is maybe fifty minutes and Whitby is about an hour.
What's here: your own parking spot, the enclosed garden, WiFi, TV, all the bedding and towels. You can bring up to two dogs. If you need more space, you can book the cottage next door, The Hen House, as well.
