Farrington House

Farrington House is in Lowthorpe, in the Yorkshire Wolds. It's a big detached house. It sleeps eight, in four bedrooms, with two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is accurate. It's a nice, comfortable place.

The house is very quiet. You're surrounded by fields. There's an enclosed garden at the back, and then you have access to about two acres of wild meadow behind it. Good for kids or dogs to run around in.

Inside, it's roomy. There's a big living room with a wood burner, and the kitchen has another seating area and a wood burner too. Plenty of space so everyone isn't on top of each other. The stairs are normal, not too steep.

There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about a mile and a half away in the next village. The coast is about seven miles if you fancy a trip to the beach.

For walking, you can just step out the door. The Wolds Way path is right there. It's good walking country, all hills and valleys. If you want to drive, the North York Moors are about half an hour away. The market towns of Driffield and Beverley are close. Beverley has a racecourse. York is about an hour's drive, for a bigger day out.

Two stately homes nearby are Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall. Both have decent gardens and cafes.

In terms of what's here: it's got parking, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, a dishwasher. All bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's bike storage if you need it.
