Meadow View is in Brigham. It's two converted farm cottages joined together. You get your own bit of garden with a table and a barbecue.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been done to a high standard. It's all on one level and the doors are wide, so it works if you have mobility issues. There's underfloor heating and a wood burner.
The cottage is part of a small site. There's a shared acre of grounds. The kids' farm is here, with sheep, goats, a horse and guinea pigs. Children can help feed them and collect eggs. There's a games room with a snooker table and table tennis, and an outdoor play area with a sand pit.
You're right by the Driffield Canal. There's a little jetty if you bring a canoe. Fishing is available nearby.
The hamlet itself is very quiet. The nearest shop is about two and a half miles away in Driffield. Driffield is a proper market town with supermarkets and a few pubs that do food.
For days out, the coast is about half an hour's drive. Bridlington and Filey have big sandy beaches. Hornsea is closer and has a beach and the Freeport shopping village.
York is just under an hour's drive. It's a full day out with the Minster, the Shambles, the Jorvik Centre and the Railway Museum.
For walking, the Yorkshire Wolds are right on the doorstep. The canal path is flat and easy. The Yorkshire Wolds website has good route ideas.
Facilities: everything is included. Bedding, towels, WiFi, TV. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair. Parking is right outside. No pets, sorry.
