Woodlands

Woodlands is in Rotsea. It's part of a converted barn complex set in fields and new woodland. It sleeps four people in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The cottage is one of six here. You get your own enclosed garden, which looks over paddocks. You might see deer or foxes. The owners have an indoor heated swimming pool on site that you can use for free. There's also a shared games room and a kids' play area.

Inside, it's straightforward. The living space is open plan. There's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair.

The stairs are a standard cottage spiral. They're fine, but watch your step.

You can bring up to three dogs. The garden is enclosed so they can't wander off.

For things to do, the complex is good for walks straight from the door. Brandesburton village is about four miles away for a shop and a pub. If you're into fishing or water sports, there's a place for that less than a mile away.

For a day out, the coast is about a half hour drive. Bridlington, Scarborough, and Filey are all there with beaches. Flamborough Head is good for cliffs and seabirds. National Trust Yorkshire has details on some of those spots. Inland, the Yorkshire Wolds are right nearby for walking. Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere House are both within a 30 minute drive if you like stately homes. York is about an hour away.
