Four Bays is a converted barn on our farm near Rotsea. It's one of six cottages here, but it has its own enclosed garden facing the paddocks. You'll probably see deer in the morning.
It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The conversion kept a lot of the original wood and stone, so the ceilings are high and it feels quite spacious.
The main thing here is the space. You get the garden, and there's a shared games room in another barn. There's also an indoor heated swimming pool you can use. It's a private pool, not a public one, so you book slots with me. The kids' play area is over by the car park.
The farm is rural. The nearest shop and pub are in Brandesburton, about four miles away. It's a good base if you like walking or cycling straight from the door. The Yorkshire Wolds are right there. Visit Yorkshire has information on the Wolds.
For a day out, the coast is about a twenty-minute drive. Bridlington, Filey, and Scarborough are all within half an hour. If you want cliffs and seabirds, Flamborough Head is good. Robin Hood's Bay is a bit further but worth it for the fossils.
Inland, Beverley is about twenty minutes. It's a nice market town. For a stately home, Burton Agnes Hall or Sledmere Hall are both around thirty minutes away. The National Trust has places nearby.
For facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to three dogs. The pool is a big feature, so if you're booking in summer, it's worth bringing swim stuff.
