Ladysmith
Ladysmith is in Burshill. It's a detached old farmhouse, out in the fields. The views are open countryside all around. Because it's so rural, you get proper dark skies at night.
It sleeps twelve people, in five bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The stairs are fine. There’s a main living room and a separate dining room that both seat everyone. The kitchen is big and has what you need. There's also a utility room with a washing machine and another toilet.
Upstairs, the bedrooms are named after wildflowers. Two of them have en-suite bathrooms. One room, Sulphur Cosmos, has a freestanding bath in the bedroom itself. Another, Fairy Toadflax, has a little sunroom attached.
Outside, the gardens are enclosed. There's a patio with a hot tub. Plenty of space for kids to run around or for sitting out.
It’s a quiet spot. The village of Brandesburton is about three miles away. It has a shop and a couple of pubs that do food.
Hornsea is the nearest seaside town, about nine miles. It has a beach and a promenade for a walk.
Within a half hour drive you can get to the Yorkshire Wolds for walking. There are some big historic houses nearby too, like Sledmere House, Burton Agnes Hall, and Sewerby Hall in Bridlington.
Facilities: everything on the list is there. WiFi, TV, games room with a pool table and dartboard. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to three dogs. There's parking for several cars on the drive.
