The Poplars
The Poplars is in Long Riston. It's a detached bungalow, so everything is on one level. That's useful if stairs are a problem. The garden is big and enclosed, with a lawn. There's a hot tub on the terrace.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. The main bedroom has an en-suite and patio doors straight out to the terrace. There's a second bathroom as well, with a walk-in shower.
Inside, it's spacious. There's a wood burner for the evenings. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a good standard. There's a boot room for kicking off muddy boots and a separate boiler room which is handy for drying coats.
The village pub is about a mile away. Shops are two miles.
You can walk or cycle from the door straight into the lanes. The coast is about seven miles, so a 15-minute drive. Hornsea has a beach, promenade, and the usual seaside things. Hornsea Mere is good for walks and birdwatching. The Deep in Hull is about ten miles away, that's the big aquarium.
Hull is ten miles, Beverley is within half an hour, and Bridlington is too. York is about an hour's drive.
Facilities: it's got pretty much everything. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, parking. There's a cot and highchair. It has an electric vehicle charger. No pets, I'm afraid.
