The Hive
The Hive is a barn conversion on a working farm in Skirlaugh. It's one of three here. It's for two people.
It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. Inside, it's all open-plan with high ceilings. The bedroom is on a galleried floor above the living area. The stairs up to it are fine, but open-tread, so you can see down.
You've got a small, private courtyard that's enclosed. There's a hot tub out there. It gets the sun in the morning.
The village has a shop and a pub, both a short walk away. The pub does food. There are a few others within a few miles.
It's about half an hour to the coast. Hornsea and Mappleton are the nearest beaches. Hull is about a 20-minute drive. They have The Deep aquarium there and some free museums. If you like walking, the Yorkshire Wolds are right on the doorstep. The coast path at Spurn Point is about 45 minutes away.
For facilities: parking is right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's WiFi.
