The Bluebell is in Great Hatfield, near Hornsea on the east coast. It’s not remote, you’re a few minutes from main roads and a few miles from the sea.
The cottage is one of several set around a shared glass atrium. It’s modern, fully accessible, and gets a 5 Star rating. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom which is a wet room. Everything is on the ground floor.
The place is set in ten acres with a field of animals. The owners keep goats, pigs, sheep, ponies, that sort of thing. There’s a designated dog walk on site, and you can bring up to two pets.
Mappleton Sands is the nearest beach, about ten minutes by car. It’s sandy and good for a walk. Hornsea is four miles away. It has a beach, a leisure centre, and The Mere for boating.
The local pub, 400 yards away, is closed. There are other pubs in New Ellerby and Withernwick, a short drive. The nearest shop is four miles away in Hornsea, so you’ll need to drive for supplies.
For days out, Beverley is about half an hour. It has the Minster and the racecourse. Hull is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes, for The Deep aquarium. Burton Agnes Hall and Sewerby Hall are both within half an hour.
The cottage has a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and an enclosed patio with a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. There’s on-site parking. A cot and highchair are available if you need them.
