The Roost is a barn conversion on a farm in Skirlaugh. It's one of three cottages here. It's on the edge of the village, so you've got open fields on one side.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One kingsize bed, two singles. Everything's on the ground floor. The main room is all open plan, with a kitchen, dining table, and sofa area. It's got high ceilings and beams. There's a smart TV. The bathroom has a walk-in shower.
Outside, there's a private, enclosed courtyard with a table and chairs. It gets the morning sun. There's also a hot tub.
The village shop is a few minutes' walk. The local pub is about the same distance, they do food. There are a few other pubs within a short drive if you want to try somewhere different.
You can get to the coast in about twenty minutes. Withernsea and Hornsea are the closest beaches. If you like walking, the Yorkshire Wolds are right there. For birdwatching, RSPB Bempton Cliffs is a half hour drive. Hull is about twenty minutes away, it's got museums and The Deep aquarium.
Facilities: WiFi, parking, bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ in the courtyard. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and well looked after. If you're coming with more people, the other two barns here can be booked together.
