Snowdrop Cottage

Snowdrop Cottage is in Great Hatfield, just inland from Hornsea. It's on a working farm with about ten acres. There are a few other cottages here, grouped around a shared glass atrium you can use. You get your own patio area out the front.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. It's recently done up, modern inside. It's all on the ground floor, so no stairs to worry about. There's parking right outside.

We've got a lot of animals around. Goats, pigs, sheep, a couple of ponies and donkeys, and some chickens. Kids usually like that. There's a play area for them too. There's a specific dog walk on the land, so you're welcome to bring your dogs.

The facilities are what you'd expect. Washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a barbecue you can use. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.

The local pub, The Spotted Dog, is about five minutes walk away. It does food. The nearest shop is in Hornsea, about four miles.

The coast is close. Mappleton Sands is just down the road, it's a good sandy beach for a walk. Hornsea itself has a promenade and "The Mere" for birdwatching and boats. Further afield, Beverley is about half an hour's drive. Nice market town with a minster and the racecourse. Hull is about 40 minutes, that's where you'll find The Deep aquarium.

If you fancy a day out, the Yorkshire Wolds are on the doorstep for walking. The National Trust have Sledmere House about 30 minutes away, and there's Burton Agnes Hall a bit closer.
