Station House is in Hornsea. It used to be the station master's house, but the station's been closed a long time. It's a ground floor flat now, which is good if you don't want stairs. It's a listed building so the walls are thick and the windows are the original railway ones.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. Both bedrooms have a bit of a sea view, which is nice when you wake up. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and has everything you need.
The beach is about 200 yards away. It's sandy. There's a promenade with cafes and the usual fish and chips. The town centre is flat and a short walk. It's got shops, a museum, a few pubs and places to eat.
For things to do, Hornsea Mere is a big lake. You can go sailing or birdwatching there. There's a leisure centre with a pool just up the road if the weather turns. The Trans Pennine Trail goes right past, so you can walk or cycle for miles on the flat.
Further out, you're in easy reach of the rest of the coast. Bridlington and Filey are about half an hour south. Scarborough and Flamborough Head are a bit further. Hull is under an hour, where you've got The Deep aquarium. York is about an hour's drive inland.
Facilities wise: there's parking right outside. You can bring up to two dogs. It has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. There's a patio area with a barbecue.
