The Horseshoes is a terrace house in Hornsea. It's about a ten minute walk to the beach and the town centre.
It sleeps seven. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. We did it up a few years ago so it's in good shape. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The layout is a bit unusual inside. The rooms are odd shapes because it's an old cottage. But it's open plan downstairs, which is good for a group. There's a wood burner for cooler nights.
Out the back there's a small, walled patio. It gets the sun in the late afternoon.
For kids, there's a room with a small pool table and some board games.
The local pub is about a hundred yards away. They do food. The shop is a five minute walk.
Hornsea Mere is very close, just a few minutes' walk. You can do sailing and other water sports there. The beach is good for a proper walk along the promenade.
Within half an hour’s drive you've got a few things. Bempton Cliffs is an RSPB reserve, good for puffins and seabirds. RSPB Bempton Cliffs. The Deep aquarium is in Hull. Beverley is a nice market town with a minster.
Facilities: there's parking for one car on the drive. Everything's included: WiFi, bedding, towels, electricity. It has a washing machine, dishwasher, highchair and cot. You can bring up to three dogs.
