Barley Edge is near Hornsea. It's one of a pair of barn conversions set around a yard, so another family might be staying next door. There's a cottage attached to it, so the whole thing sleeps twelve.
There are six bedrooms and four bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so everything works and it's comfortable. The main thing is the space. It's a big barn, so there's plenty of room for everyone.
The house sits in farmland, overlooking Hornsea Mere. The garden's enclosed, which is handy. It's a peaceful spot.
Hornsea itself is about a mile away. It's a proper seaside town with a beach, a golf course, and a few shops and pubs. The Trans Pennine Trail starts there if you like walking or cycling. They have a leisure centre and things like that.
If you want a day out, you can walk to Honeysuckle Farm. It's good for kids, with animals and ice cream. Hornsea Mere is right there for a walk, some birdwatching, or feeding the ducks.
Within half an hour you can get to Bridlington, Beverley, or Hull. Bridlington has a harbour and a spa. Beverley is nice for a wander, with the Minster and some decent shops. Hull has The Deep aquarium, which is impressive. The RSPB at Bempton Cliffs is great if you like seabirds. Lots of stately homes around too, like Burton Agnes.
Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a wood burner, and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate. No pets, sorry.
