This is Barley Edge. It's in Hornsea, East Yorkshire. You know it's near the coast. The barns are semi-detached and they're set on farmland, looking out towards Hornsea Mere.
It sleeps twelve. Six bedrooms, four bathrooms. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable, it's been converted well, but it's not a hotel. It's a good space for a big group or a few families together.
The garden is enclosed, which is handy. There's parking right there. You've got a washing machine, a dishwasher, a TV, wi-fi. There's a wood burner, which is nice in the colder months. A cot and highchair are there if you need them.
Hornsea itself is about a mile away. It's a seaside town. There's a beach, a promenade, a few shops and places to eat. Hornsea Freeport is there if you want to look for a bargain. There's a leisure centre with a pool and a golf course.
Right nearby is Hornsea Mere. It's a big lake. You can go sailing or fishing, or just walk around it. There's a cafe. For a day out with kids, Honeysuckle Farm is within walking distance. They do ice cream and tractor rides.
If you want to explore, the coast is close. Bridlington is about twenty minutes by car. Filey and Scarborough are a bit further, maybe forty-five minutes. Beverley is twenty minutes inland. It's a nice market town with a famous minster. Hull is about half an hour's drive. The Deep aquarium is there. For birdwatching, Bempton Cliffs is a forty minute drive up the coast.
