The Stable is a cottage in Brigham, which is a small village in East Yorkshire. It's a converted farm building from the 1700s, so the walls are thick and the rooms feel solid. It's just for two people.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well looked after. There's underfloor heating downstairs and a wood burning stove. The shower is good. It's all on one level so there are no stairs to worry about.
Outside, you have your own patio with a table and a barbecue. You share a big lawn with the other cottages, about an acre. There's also a games room with a full-size snooker table and table tennis that everyone uses. The owner has a small children's farm on site with a horse, sheep, and goats. You can collect eggs in the morning if you want to.
Brigham is quiet. The Driffield canal runs right past the property. There's a little jetty if you fancied bringing a canoe. The village is mentioned in the Domesday Book. The nearest proper shop is in Driffield, about two and a half miles away. There are a few pubs within three miles.
Driffield is a market town. York is about 45 minutes by car. It's a straightforward drive. Bridlington beach is 25 minutes away. Scarborough and Filey are within 40 minutes. The Yorkshire Wolds are right here for walking. You can start a walk along the canal bank from the doorstep.
Facilities: There's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi included. Bedding and towels are provided. There's parking right outside. Sorry, no pets.
