'Ow Do
'Ow Do is one of two barn conversions on the grounds of Dringhoe Hall, near Skipsea. It sleeps eight, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are en-suite and on the ground floor, which is handy.
The main living space is all open plan. High ceilings, big windows looking out over fields, a decent kitchen and a table that fits everyone. It's a good space for a group. The sofas are comfortable.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It's well kept and everything works. It's got an enclosed garden at the front and back, which is secure if you're bringing dogs. Speaking of which, we take up to two pets.
You're a mile from a village shop and a local pub. The pub does food. The coast at Skipsea is about three miles, but for a proper beach day, Hornsea is seven miles away. It's got a promenade and Hornsea Mere, which is a big lake good for birdwatching and sailing. Visit Yorkshire has details on the area.
If you're here for a wedding, Rise Hall is about twelve miles away. That seems to be the main reason some big groups book.
For days out, Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough are along the coast within about an hour's drive. Beverley, York and Hull are all within roughly forty-five minutes if you want history or a city trip. The Yorkshire Wolds are on your doorstep for walking.
Facilities are all there: wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher, parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
You can also book the other barn, 'Ay Up, at the same time if you've got a bigger group.
