Wayside Cottage is a bungalow in North Frodingham. It's a single-storey place, detached. It sits right on the edge of the village, looking out over fields.
It sleeps five, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. There's a double room and a twin room, but the twin beds can be clipped together to make another double if you prefer. There's also a sofa bed in the living room for one extra person. The bungalow has a four-star rating, so it's well looked after.
The layout is handy. You come in through a back porch, which is good for muddy boots or a wet dog. Most of it feels quite spacious, especially the kitchen diner. It gets light from two sides so you can see the view while you eat. The living room has a wood burner. The front garden is fully fenced, so it's secure if you have a dog.
You're out in the countryside, but it's close to things. There's a pub that does food about half a mile away. The nearest shop is two miles off in Driffield. That's the nearest proper town too, about eight miles away. Beverley is a bit further, maybe 15 miles. It's got the Minster, which is worth seeing. Hornsea and the coast is about ten miles east if you want a beach.
For a day out, Bempton Cliffs is about half an hour's drive. It's an RSPB reserve with seabirds. Spurn Point is a bit further. If you're walking, the Yorkshire Wolds are right here.
Facilities cover what you'd need. There's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a travel cot and a high chair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
