Wayside Cottage is a bungalow on the edge of North Frodingham. It's detached, and was built for farm workers. All the rooms are on one level. It sleeps five. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twin beds that can be made into a double. There's a sofa bed in the living room for a fifth person. There's one bathroom with a shower.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The rooms are large and bright. You come in through a back boot room, which is good for muddy boots or a dog. The kitchen diner is a good size with a lot of cupboards. It has windows on two sides, so you get the views while you're cooking or eating.
The living room has a wood burner and the sofas are deep. You can get more logs from the village shop, which is about two miles away. There's a pub serving food half a mile down the road.
The garden at the front is fully enclosed, which is handy if you bring a dog. You're allowed one. There's patio furniture out there. The view is over open fields. You often see animals grazing.
It's a quiet spot, but you're not far from things. The coast at Hornsea is about a twenty minute drive. Driffield, which is a market town, is about eight miles away. Beverley is a bit further, maybe twenty five minutes. Beverley Minster is worth a visit if you're there.
For birdwatching, the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs is known for its seabirds. The Yorkshire Wolds are on the doorstep for walking. The Tour de Yorkshire cycle race sometimes comes through nearby villages in May.
