This place is called Ey Up. It's one of two barns in the yard at Dringhoe Hall, near Skipsea. It's a 17th-century barn that's been done up. Sleeps ten, five bedrooms, four bathrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating so it’s comfortable and well-equipped.
The main room is big and open plan. Kitchen and dining at one end, sofas at the other. Lots of windows so it’s bright. There’s a door through to the other barn, Ow Do, next door. You can open it up if you're booking both, for bigger groups.
Upstairs are two main bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. They’ve got the original beams and high ceilings. There are two more twin rooms upstairs that share a family bathroom. Then on the ground floor there’s another twin bedroom with its own bathroom. Useful if someone doesn't want to do stairs.
The garden's enclosed. There's parking on site and a bike store. The nearest pub is about a mile away in Skipsea. The sea is less than two miles.
You’re about seven miles from Hornsea. They've got a supermarket, a promenade, and Hornsea Mere, which is a big lake for sailing or birdwatching. RSPB Hornsea Mere has details.
Further along the coast, you've got Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough within about a 30 minute drive. Inland, Beverley is about half an hour away, and York is under an hour. Hull is about 40 minutes. The Welcome to Yorkshire site has ideas.
As for the place itself, bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
