Springdale Farmhouse is near Rudston, on top of the Wolds. It's a detached farmhouse out in the fields. It sleeps thirteen, which is a lot. There are six bedrooms and two bathrooms.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's spacious and comfortable, not a new build. The kitchen is country style, plenty big enough for cooking for a crowd. There are three living rooms, so people can spread out. The main one has an open fire and doors out to the garden.
There are two staircases. The main one is fine. The other one is a bit steeper and narrower, it goes up to the top floor bedroom. That bedroom is enormous, it runs the length of the house. It has very low beams and two super king beds that can be split into singles. It's perfect for kids, but mind your head.
Outside, there's an enclosed courtyard at the back that gets the sun. At the front, there's a lawn and a wood-fired hot tub. You can see for miles. We often see deer and hares in the fields.
The local pub is about a mile away in the village. They do good food. Bridlington is seven miles east for the beach and harbour. The coast at Bempton Cliffs is famous for seabirds, it's an RSPB reserve.
You're right in the middle of the Yorkshire Wolds, good for walking and cycling. For a day out, Burton Agnes Hall, Sledmere House and Sewerby Hall are all close by. York, Hull and the North York Moors are all under an hour's drive.
Practical stuff: There's parking, an electric vehicle charger, a washing machine, a games room, and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. We can take up to three dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
