The Old Folly
The Old Folly is down in Hunmanby. It's a funny old thing, built back in the 1800s to look like a ruin on purpose. It's made of stone from Filey Brigg. It's detached, so you're on your own out there.
It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's nice and clean, and everything works, but it's an old building so don't expect everything to be brand new.
It sits in about three quarters of an acre of rough ground. You can walk around it. You'll see rabbits and squirrels, and hear the owls at night.
There's a shop half a mile away. A couple of local pubs are in walking distance too. The golf course is just up the road.
For the coast, Filey is about three miles away. It's got a good, wide sandy beach. Scarborough and Bridlington are a short drive. The RSPB at Bempton Cliffs is close if you like seabirds. York is less than an hour's drive if you fancy a day in the city.
What's there: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a stairgate if you need it. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
