The Old Folly is on the edge of Hunmanby village. It’s one of two gatehouses built to look like a proper ruin. You wouldn't know it from the outside, but inside it's a normal cottage. It sleeps two.
It’s got one bedroom upstairs and a bathroom downstairs. The shower is good. The stairs are quite steep, so it might not suit everyone. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well kept.
You’re welcome to walk around the three-quarters of an acre of grounds. It’s a bit wild, with rabbits and owls about. There’s a patio and garden area for the cottage itself.
Filey beach is about three miles away. It’s a good, wide sandy beach. Scarborough and Bridlington are both a short drive. The RSPB Bempton Cliffs are very close, if you like seabirds.
York is just under an hour's drive if you fancy a city day. The North York Moors are about half an hour inland.
There's a shop about five minutes walk away and a couple of pubs in the village. There's a local golf course too. Parking is right outside.
Facilities: everything's included - bedding, towels, electricity. There's WiFi, a TV, a washing machine and a dishwasher. You can bring one dog. We've got a stairgate if you need it.
