Apple Pip is on the cliff at Reighton Sands. The main thing is the view. The whole front of the house is glass, so you see the sea and the beach from almost every room. The beach is about five miles long here, from Filey down to Bempton.
It sleeps eight, in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. One is en-suite to a ground floor double. The other two are upstairs with the other bedrooms. The master bedroom is upstairs and has a spa bath in the room, facing the sea. It also has a private balcony. There's a sofa bed in there too, if you need it. The stairs are fine, normal stairs.
The garden is enclosed and faces the sea. You go out from the living room onto a raised patio, then steps down to the lawn. It's not huge, but it's yours.
Being right on the cliff, you can walk straight onto the beach path. The beach itself is about 150 yards down. There's a shop about 300 yards away. The local pub is a mile up the road in Reighton village.
A short walk along the beach gets you to 'The Bay' development. They have a swimming pool, gym, tennis courts, and a couple of restaurants there. You can pay to use the facilities.
Filey is four miles south, Bridlington is eight miles south, and Scarborough is eleven miles north. All the usual seaside things are there. The bus stop is about 200 yards from the house if you don't want to drive.
For something a bit different, the RSPB centre at Bempton Cliffs is about a 15 minute drive. You can see the seabird colonies. Flamborough Head is the same sort of distance.
In the house, you've got a wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine, TV with satellite, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. Parking is on the drive.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. No pets, sorry.
If you're looking into the area, North York Moors National Park is inland, and the Yorkshire Coast site has general information.
