Illingworth Cottage is in Gristhorpe, just inland from Filey. It's one of a small group of cottages, semi-detached. There's a shared lawn out front and a games room and play area for kids that all the cottages can use.
The cottage sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, not a show home.
There's a pub about a mile away in Gristhorpe itself. The main town is Filey, about three miles. It's a proper old-fashioned seaside place. A long sandy beach, good for swimming and walking, with Filey Brigg at the end. The town has restaurants and pubs, and the Evron Centre if you want a show.
For the coast path, walking, or birdwatching, you're right there on the East Yorkshire coast. The North York Moors National Park is about a twenty minute drive inland. Whitby is roughly half an hour north. Scarborough is about twenty minutes south.
Inside, it's open plan kitchen and living area. Facilities: washing machine, dishwasher, TV, bedding included. There's a BBQ outside. The cottage is not pet-friendly.
