Sunnyside

Sunnyside is a first-floor apartment in Filey. It's for two people, one bedroom, one bathroom.

It lives up to its name. It gets a lot of sun. There's a window seat you can sit in. You can see the sea from the side windows, not a full view, but you know it's there.

The main room is a good size, open-plan. There's a big sofa that reclines. The kitchen is separate, which I like. No washing machine, just so you know.

Filey itself is a proper old-fashioned seaside town. It's quiet. The beach is about five minutes walk. There's a shop, a pub, and places to eat a few hundred yards away.

If you walkers, the Cleveland Way path is right on the doorstep. For birds, Bempton Cliffs is close. It's an RSPB reserve. In spring, there are thousands of puffins and other seabirds.

Bridlington and Scarborough are a short drive south if you want something busier. Whitby is about half an hour north. Other good spots along the coast are Robin Hood's Bay, Staithes, and Flamborough Head.

For a day out inland, the North York Moors National Park is about a 30 minute drive. There are stately homes like Sewerby Hall nearby too.

What's here: WiFi, TV, bedding and towels are included. There's a place to store bikes. No pets. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and comfortable.
