The Lodge

The Lodge is one of six cottages at Killerby Old Hall in Killerby. We're about two miles inland from Cayton Bay. It's a detached cottage, so you're not sharing walls. You've got your own garden and patio area with furniture.

It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's comfortable and well-equipped. The owners live on-site so if you need anything, someone is usually around.

There's a shared indoor heated swimming pool on the estate that guests can use. You'll need to book a slot.

The village of Cayton is about a five-minute walk. There's a shop and two pubs there. For a bigger supermarket or more shops, Scarborough is about four miles away.

For the beach, Cayton Bay is the closest, less than ten minutes in the car. It's a good surfing beach. Filey and Scarborough are both a short drive too. Scarborough has the usual seaside things, the castle, and the Stephen Joseph Theatre.

If you want to go walking, the Cleveland Way national trail is on the coast nearby. For the moors, you can drive up to Thornton-le-Dale to access Dalby Forest, or go to Pickering to get on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay are roughly forty minutes north by car.

In terms of things here: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. You can park on site. No pets, sorry.
