Ravines

Ravines is two houses joined together. So it’s really one big place for 24 people, but you still get two front doors, two kitchens, two living rooms. Each side sleeps 12, in six bedrooms. All bedrooms have their own bathroom. There are TVs in all the rooms as well.

It’s in Scarborough, about a ten minute walk to North Bay beach. The town centre is walkable too. There’s a shop and a restaurant about 200 yards away, a pub at 400 yards.

Outside, there’s an enclosed courtyard garden with two hot tubs, one for each side of the house.

It’s got a 4 Star rating. The facilities are all there: washing machines, dishwashers, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. It’s a luxury property, so it’s well kitted out. You can bring up to two dogs.

Location-wise, you’re close to a lot. Peasholm Park is just around the corner on the way to the beach. They do the model boat battles on the lake in summer. Scarborough Cricket Ground is nearby, and Oliver’s Mount for motorbike racing is a short drive.

Scarborough has two bays. North Bay is quieter, with the Sea Life Centre and the open air theatre. South Bay is the traditional seaside bit with donkeys and amusements. You can walk between them along Marine Drive, which is flat.

Within half an hour’s drive you’ve got the North York Moors, and Filey and Flamborough Head. Whitby is about 40 minutes away. The RSPB Bempton Cliffs are worth a trip to see the seabirds. York is about an hour’s drive.
