Batty Barn is on our farm at Lind Head, in the North York Moors National Park. It's a barn conversion we did ourselves a while back. It's over two hundred years old. You get the place to yourself, it's detached.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, and two bathrooms which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. The ceilings are beamed, so mind your head in a couple of places. It's cosy, especially with the wood burner going.
We're a working farm, so you'll see sheep and sometimes tractors about. The barn is right on the edge of the moors. You can walk or cycle straight from the door onto the paths. The sea isn't far. Robin Hood's Bay is about a twenty minute drive, and Whitby is maybe half an hour.
Scarborough is the main town nearby, about seven miles. It's got the castle ruins, two sandy beaches, a Sea Life Centre, and the usual seaside things. The shop, pub and nearest restaurant are in Fylingthorpe, about three miles away.
For facilities, you've got the washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. There's a patio with a barbecue, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
