Orchard Cottage is mine. It's in Staintondale, up on the North Yorkshire coast. It's a one bedroom place, sleeps two. It's got a five star rating. It's small, but everything is new and works properly.
It's semi-detached, attached to the other cottage I own. You get your own patio and garden space though, and a hot tub. The view looks out over fields, then woods. It's very quiet. There are horses in those fields, they belong to the farm next door.
The inside is all on one level, which is handy. There's underfloor heating. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. The bed is a king size. Everything's clean and straightforward.
The local pub is about a mile away in Ravenscar. It does food. The nearest shop is in Fylingthorpe, about five miles. For a big supermarket, you're going to Whitby.
You're well placed for the coast. Robin Hood's Bay is about three miles for the beach. Whitby is fifteen, twenty minutes by car. That's where you'll find the Abbey, the harbour, and proper fish and chips. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline here. The Cleveland Way path runs nearby if you want to walk it.
Further afield, Scarborough is about half an hour south. The seal colony at Ravenscar is just a few minutes up the road. For birdwatching, the RSPB at Bempton Cliffs is about forty minutes drive.
What's here: parking, towels and bedding, WiFi, a TV. No pets, I'm afraid. If you're bringing a horse, we can talk about that, but you need to arrange it with me first.
