Island Farm House

Island Farm House is just outside Staintondale village, in the fields of the North York Moors. It's a detached house, so no one attached. Sleeps fifteen, which is a lot. Seven bedrooms, and they're all ensuite, which is handy with a big group.

The main thing is the space. There's a big kitchen with a table, a separate dining room, and a large living room with a wood burner. There's also a pool table room and a tennis court outside. The garden is large and enclosed, mostly lawn.

It's a 4 Star place, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The utilities are included. There's parking on site. We allow up to three dogs. We provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.

Location wise, it’s about halfway between Whitby and Scarborough. The local pub that does food is a mile away. The coast is about a mile and a half. You can walk straight out from the house into the National Park.

Robin Hood's Bay is a short drive south. Ravenscar is nearby too, where you can see seals. Whitby has the harbour, the abbey, and all the shops. Scarborough has the classic seaside things: beaches, an open-air theatre, and Peasholm Park.

Within half an hour you can get to the heart of the North York Moors for walking or driving. Go a bit further and you can reach the Yorkshire Dales or York city centre, though York is about an hour's drive.
