Ewden

Ewden is on the main street in Robin Hood's Bay. It's a tall, narrow cottage, like most of them here. It sleeps seven in four bedrooms.

You come in through the kitchen. There's an Aga, which keeps the place warm, and a normal electric oven and dishwasher too. The living room is next to it, with an open fire. The stairs up are fairly steep, as you'd expect.

There are three bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. Then there's another set of stairs up to the top floor, which is a twin bedroom under the eaves. That one has its own small shower room. The view from that top window is good, you look over the rooftops to the sea.

You can bring one dog. There's a stairgate if you need it. All the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and WiFi. There's no private parking, but there's a pay and display car park at the top of the hill.

The village pub is about a minute's walk away. The beach is at the bottom of the hill, maybe a five minute walk down. It's a steep walk back up.

For walking, the Cleveland Way footpath runs right through. The Coast to Coast walk starts or ends here too. The North York Moors are inland. For cycling, Dalby Forest is about a twenty minute drive away.
