Ewden

Ewden is on King's Street in Robin Hood's Bay. It's that one with the blue door, about a minute's walk from the water. It's a terraced cottage. You look out over the rooftops towards the sea.

It sleeps seven people in four bedrooms. Three are on the first floor: a double, a twin, and a single. There's a family bathroom on that floor too. Then there's a twin bedroom in the attic with its own shower. The stairs up there are steep and low in places, so mind your head.

Downstairs is open plan. The kitchen has an Aga, which is on all the time, so it keeps the place warm. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine too. The sitting room has an open fire. We supply a starter pack of logs.

You can bring one dog. We have a stairgate if you need it. All bedding and towels are included. There's Wi-Fi and a TV.

The village is right there. There's a pub and places to eat about 80 yards away. The beach is a very short walk down the hill. It's great for rock pooling.

For walking, the Cleveland Way runs along the cliffs right above the village. The Coast to Coast path starts (or ends) here too. The North York Moors National Park is inland. Dalby Forest is about a 20 minute drive for mountain biking. Whitby is ten minutes away by car, with the Abbey and the harbour. Scarborough is about half an hour.
