Riverside Cottage is just over a mile outside Whitby. It's in a quiet spot by the river with its own garden. You get views over the water from the balcony off the living room.
The cottage sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, spread over three floors. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are typical for an old cottage, so they're a bit steep and winding.
You can walk into Whitby in about twenty minutes. The path goes over the old railway viaduct. There's a pub within walking distance too.
The old railway line, the Cinder Track, runs right past the property. It's good for walking or cycling. You can follow it towards Robin Hood's Bay or Scarborough. If you have kayaks or paddleboards, you can get on the river from the garden.
In Whitby itself, you've got the Abbey, the harbour, and the usual seafront things. The steam train from Whitby to Grosmont passes nearby, which is a nice sight. Up the coast, places like Robin Hood's Bay, Staithes, and Runswick Bay are all within about half an hour's drive.
Facilities wise: there's parking for two cars, a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
