Sunnyside Cottage is on the west side of Whitby. It's a townhouse on a street with other cottages. You get a small enclosed yard out the back. It's not a big garden, but it's private and has a table.
The cottage sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. It's over three floors, so there are quite a lot of stairs. They are normal cottage stairs, just be aware of them. The twin room is at the top under the eaves, so the ceiling slopes.
You're on the side of town with the big sandy beach that goes all the way to Sandsend. It's a good beach for walking and for kids. The main shops, the harbour, and the 199 steps up to the Abbey are about a 15-20 minute walk away. There are closer shops and a couple of pubs on the street just around the corner. One is a micro pub that does local drinks.
You can get a good walk along the Cleveland Way from Whitby. The North York Moors National Park is on the doorstep. The steam train from Whitby station goes into the moorland, which is a nice trip. For a day out, Staithes and Robin Hood's Bay are classic fishing villages, both within a 30 minute drive. York is about an hour away.
In terms of what's here: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome. The kitchen has what you need to cook. There's parking for one car on the street outside.
